I will be 41 this year.
It is day four of officially being back to work after the Christmas and New Year holidays. It doesn't seem to be that long ago, but I can feel that work is going into full swing. I do welcome new challenges at work.
The Holidays Were Over Too Quickly
The holidays were fun. I had every meal delivered every day. I spent hours online. I had a sudden, unexpected attachment to those short vertical movies. I slept. I spent time with my kid and our cats. We did not really celebrate Christmas and New Year. Somehow I never really made them a priority. I prefer celebrating my and my kid's and my dad's birthdays.
While I tried to actually do a deep clean of the townhouse, I wasn't able to. I loved lazing about too much. However, I do have a cleaning lady who comes in twice a week, so it's not so bad, really. I am hoping that this year I will actually get to pick up the habit of maintaining my own home.
I need to be better at building habits. I am unsure why, but while I am highly efficient and organized at work, both in planning and execution, I can do one in my personal life. I am a very good planner in my personal life. Somehow, the execution phase is unsuccessful most of the time. I hear it is called executive dysfunction. Hmm. I may need to see a therapist again.
While I may be remiss in good habits, I still have hope for the future. I have about six months until my 41st birthday. By then, I would like to have a good report for my year.
One can hope.
