I finally set up a default photo for my journal entries, which is a small win that makes the section look more alive, especially for posts without featured images. It felt good to code again. And just when I thought the day couldn’t get better, I got a surprise.
The week started off rough due to not having enough sleep and a foggy brain during meetings. I finally hit my stride after lunch when I dove into my automation work, which always calms me down. I’ve always loved working with tools and systems. By the end of the day, everything was sorted.
“Why is it already Sunday?” says the immature 41-year-old in me. The mature part knows better. That balance between work and rest, that pride in what I do, even when I don’t feel like doing it.
It was an uneventful Saturday, exactly the kind I needed. With a typhoon coming, I stayed home, got groceries through my son, and enjoyed the quiet. I spent most of the day cleaning and playing Crusader Kings III as a female ruler who somehow looked a lot older than 65. Also I hate dislike chores.
This week was refreshingly slow at work, and I finally had the space to breathe and catch up on long-term tasks. I even managed to clock out early, dive into Crusader Kings III for hours, and actually feel that Friday freedom before the next stormy weekend ahead.
