Yesterday, our lease on the townhouse ended.
Yesterday, I began a new job.
One chapter ended and another one has begun.
The last two and a half weeks had been very busy. Sometimes I was stressed and overwhelmed. Sometimes I was hopeful. There were so many arrangements made and preparations done for the move – cleaning the new townhouse, slowly moving all our stuff, cleaning the old townhouse, and making sure all final bills were paid off. Which reminds me, I have to pay off the final water bill. I have yet to get a statement. The last thing I need to arrange is to have the AC units dismantled and installed at the new townhouse. I delegated the task to Kid because I already have a lot on my plate what with catching up with the daily chores ON TOP OF training for my new job. Luckily, training ended last week for me when I landed a client and today (15 April) was my first official day.
With the old townhouse done and dusted, I have one less thing to worry about. I still have a lot to do, and if and when I think about it, I only get stressed. Somehow in the middle of training for my new job, I learned to prioritize and take things one at a time. So far, this new-found wisdom was a hard lesson to learn which took me majority of my life. The only comforting thing about it is that I learned it before I turned forty. LMAO.
So now, I am focused on my new job and rearranging furniture and putting away things in their proper places in the new townhouse. Those are just the beginning of a very long to-do list.
Somehow I am confident I’ll make it. All I need are proper time management and money. Money makes accomplishing tasks a lot easier because I can simply delegate things I find too daunting to do on my own.
The Eisenhower Matrix is very useful, too.
